Common questions
Because it connects to your file system. Okay Create isn't a clip generator — it's a production suite. In the Mac app, your scripts, your cast, your renders and your project files live on your machine. You don't have to download it, though: the web app at okaycreate.com runs in your browser.
It also means you own your work. Nothing is locked in a cloud account. Your project files are yours.
Yes. Okay Create is Apple notarized — it went through Apple's full certification process. The Gatekeeper warning appears because some Macs flag apps downloaded outside the Mac App Store, even notarized ones.
When you see the warning: right-click (or Control-click) the app icon and choose Open. Then click "Open anyway." You only need to do this once.
Renders are billed in 15-second blocks of finished video: a scene up to 15 seconds is one block, a 60-second scene is four. Every visual style costs the same, and the exact price is shown before you confirm.
The app shows you the estimated cost before every render, so there are no surprises.
No. Okay Create runs in your browser at okaycreate.com on any computer, and there's also a Mac app (macOS 12 or later, 8 GB RAM minimum). Your fuel balance works in both.
Every render shows its price before you confirm, so you always know what you're spending. If our pricing changes, we'll announce it here. The app will always be free to download and use for writing, casting, and planning.
